We have been talking a lot about the Healing Power of the Horse Masterclass over the last few weeks, so we thought we would share some more information before the first of the masterclasses takes place in the International Arena at lunchtime on Friday.
The Healing Power of the Horse Masterclass has been put together to showcase just how much horses and ponies contribute to the mental health and physical wellbeing of the wider community.
Featuring participants from Stepney Bank Stables in Newcastle, Morpeth Riding for the Disabled Association and KL Pony Therapy alongside equestrian superstars William Fox-Pitt, Nicola Wilson and Saffron Cresswell as well as Jack Thomas Watson.
Equestrian activity is not just about sport, and it is much more than a recreational hobby enjoyed by millions of people in the UK - it is a major contributor to national wellbeing and a strategic asset for social development. Every one of us here is united by our passion for horses and have been healed by them in some way over the years.
The masterclasses will take place from 12:45 to 13:15pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the Womble Bond Dickinson International Arena.
