Me and @rayacave made a blades and quads edit for the @b_and_q_tuesdays summer edit challenge. I’ve never made a skate edit other than little insta reels, it always felt like I’d have to save up some REALLY good stuff for it to be worth doing. Of course that means I endlessly put off doing it, so it was helpful to be set a deadline. I was so impressed by what everyone came up with and most of them are on the B&Q YouTube channel, so go and watch them if you’re not thick! The link is in my bio.
Decided to give baranis a go at the end of a four hour session at Bromley. Looking forward to cleaning these up!

Picked up a pair of inlines in January which turned out to be a wise move as I had another plate snap on my quads shortly afterward. It’s been lots of fun finding out which skills transfer easily and which take real re-learning. A fun example is that I find it easier to truespin or 360 mizou than regular mizou, and soul grinds have been a slog to get the hang of. Kindgrinds feel fantastic and definitely looking forward to getting other topsides down.

Have fixed my quads now so looking forward to practicing both moving forward.

Tomorrow’s @transkaters marks a year since I first took my new roller skates to the skatepark (having skated just a few times beforehand).

I started skating in December at the @transkaters night at Bay66 and haven't stopped since. Shout out to the incredible skaters, organisers, and 10/10 hangs of @rampstamp.ldn and the broader LDN quad scene. Can't believe I get to skate with world class talents like our finalists @rlowers93 🥉, @kantrip_ , @meg.skater and @oliver_deane every week.
My run didn't go quite as I hoped but I'm very proud of my progress and excited to return next year with stronger foundations and sicker tricks 🤙
