hard liver notes: treelikeswater and hard liver were always bound to connect. My sister Essie, who currently lives in Korea, connected me with the team after she heard they were coming to LA. I met Guno and Hongjo in person at the Bungee Space pop-up event on Wednesday night, where we were formally introduced by my friend Kyle Pak @kylejpak . treelikeswater was one of the stockists for Homme Boy X @hommeboyco the anniversary book I published with Kyle for his brand. Back in December of last year, I was in Korea and ventured to Euljiro, where treelikeswater is based… but I didn’t get a chance to go in because the store was closed. Everything happens as it will, and I’m so happy I could finally have full-circle moment with Guno and Hongjo. This was my first interview in Korean… I hope there is more to come!
treelikeswater랑 hard liver는 언젠가 만나게 될 운명이었습니다. 한국에 살고 있는 동생 Essie가 treelikeswater 팀이 LA를 방문한다는 소식을 듣고 저와 연결해줬습니다. 지난 수요일 밤 bungee space event에서 드디어 군호 사장님이랑 홍조님을 만났습니다. 제 친구 Kyle Pak의 소개로 정식 인사를 드릴 수 있었습니다. 한국에 있는 treelikeswater 가게에는 저랑 Kyle이 함께 만든 Hommeboy X 책까지 스톡되어 있었어요. 제가 작년 12월에 한국에 들어갔을 때 을지로까지 가서 가게를 방문하려고 시도해봤는데, 그날은 가게 문이 닫혀 있었습니다. 드디어 treelikeswater 군호님이랑 홍조님을 만나서 너무 반가웠습니다.
이번 인터뷰는 제가 한국어로 진행한 첫 인터뷰였습니다… 앞으로도 이런 기회가 더 많아지면 좋겠어요.
