How ‘Objects in the Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear’ came together ✏️ 📆 Head down to @back_to_ours_ to see it in all its framed glory throughout November ✨ 🍿 This is the drawing that started the whole collection and gave it its name. It’s my tribute to Duel - my ultimate road movie because it’s the first one I ever saw - and references those iconic cowboy boot scenes 👢 along with vintage gas station maps from the golden era of motoring. RAW SUMMER SHOW 2026 — OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS Now in its third year, RAw Summer Show 2026 returns with an open call for artists, celebrating emerging talent and local creativity. This year, we are particularly encouraging and prioritising submissions from artists aged 16–30 as part of our commitment to supporting younger and emerging creatives, while remaining open to artists of all ages. Thank you all for your love and support of Spring of OSE Short story: Creatively I’ve been known as a writer professionally I’ve been known as a designer, my education says I’m an animator… in 2026 I unified all my loves, how i came onto the scene… i went viral was for writing! the first time i was front page news was for writing… Africans in Ukraine 4 years ago africans in Ukraine happened, my mission was the same, i wanted to help keep people safe & change people’s lives … i went from mentoring and fashion commentator to headline news in 4 days, the incursion happened wednesday, i wanted to do something thursday, i came up weith a plan friday and by tuesday I was targeted by china, russia, america and europe… for speaking the truth… When I walked away from all of that I said, I have to have my joy intact when I start public work again. I worked in silence for years so I could feel the impact and positivity of all the work I have done. i wouldn’t stand in the way of who I’m supposed to be, Damilare. (My friends said to me ‘Damilare silence isn’t like you, you should be telling people how it is!’ They was right, I was in the shadows, i was in hibernation, but the groundhog is out of the hole that is what spring of ose is about. Spring of OSE is about rebirth, Spring of OSE is about renewal Spring of OSE is about revitalisation. I’m really excited to tell you about my next #exhibition, coming up over January, February and March at #GoodShepherdStudios in #Leytonstone, part of the #EastLondonArt scene. The exhibition is situated in a speciality coffee shop, @back_to_ours_ , and is run by Back To Ours in collaboration with @rawcanvasuk , bringing together #artincoffeeshops, creativecommunity, and the LondonArtScene. I’ll be exhibiting urbanlandscape paintings of treesandbuildings, the cityscapes and modernlandscape works you may recognise from my page, alongside pleinair paintings made over the years in the WestCountry, including works from the north coast of CornwallArt and DartmoorArt. I’ll also be exhibiting some portraitpainting, marking a newdirection in my practice and an ongoing move towards more figurativeart.
