240 B.C. ☎️ Another mini-comic sensation by me for my ongoing @keysandgrails project! I designed, drew, and printed these 12 page (16 page including covers) little comics in under 24 hours. Again, I hijacked the ‘Chick Tract’ format and used it for good rather than evil. In this two color tale, we experience the generation and transference of concentrated energy. It works towards its ultimate goal. 💀 A mid-century modern vision of a dystopian past. A bleed and burn design at breakneck speed. Here’s a shadow box I made in 2004. The background painting was done by my son @milesritchie who was about 5 at that time. It’s a painting of a demon because he was obsessed with Tenacious D’s song “Tribute”. The video had Dave Grohl as the devil. Miles loved that video. Anyway, I painted myself from 1998 holding Miles as an infant. This shadow box is our first artistic collaboration. Since then, we have had a couple father/son art shows and have been in countless group shows together. Looking forward to more projects with my favorite collaborator. #painting #woodcut #shadowbox
