January…the night was bitterly cold but you guys came out and packed the cafe tighter than ever before. All the seats were full, people sitting on the floor, soooo many hot chocolates were consumed. Leaving after the event that night, Hannah and I were hugging each other and smiling, saying “can you believe that!?” “Incredible!” We were goofy as hell and tried to take pictures of the amazing crowd that showed up and I probably said lots of silly things that night in my shock and delight, but I hope you all won’t hold it against us and will continue to come out again and again and again. Love to you all, Tori #chicagowriters #writingcommunity #writersofinstagram #chicagoevents

Final reader for tomorrow is dear Audrey! Audrey works at a housing non-profit in the day and is an artist and poet in all of their other hours. They love to organize their circle to host art-centric events and they are a frequent poster to substack. Their writing focuses primarily on anatomy, relationships and teeth. They hope you enjoy! We can’t wait to see you all again 🤍

Aaaaand we’re back! Come cozy up with us at @oromobucktown January 20th for 2025’s first Written on a Napkin. What better way to spend these dark cold days than with some luminous poetry and prose spoken straight to your ear holes 💙
