Staring at the Sea, 31/32,8b ✅️🥵😍
Oh boy this is a special one for me, I've spent so many hours at Wave with my favourite humans.
I did my first 25, 29 and now 31 at this crag.
It's the climb I did my first pulley on and in turn triggered a new level of motivation to train and work my weaknesses leading to the biggest improvement I've seen in my climbing for a while. So this route and this wall will always hold a lil soft spot in my heart.
Last September I posted a video saying I would share the process of projecting this route planning for it to be a long job, but pulley happened and the process became very broken 🥲 it wasn't until last friday I got back on, wasnt really sure what to expect because haven't been on project grades recently but felt fairly ok?
I decided I'd give it 2 weeks of effort then run back to df send or no send as that's a cliff inspiring me most atm.
I wasn't even going to climb today, I've had a rough few days/nights at work, I was so tired walking in I slipped, almost fell of the ledge and got mud all over me 😅 but surprisingly first tie in I stuck the lower crux easily and knew it was on, definitely not the tightest I've felt on it but sooo satisfying to clip the chains.
📸 @sasha_gerzha snapped some dope footage of the crux sequence, everyone pls enjoy my try hard faces 😖😵💫🫥😬
I strained my pulley about 6 weeks ago now, same A4 as 3ish years ago but not as bad. Recovering well, I’m grateful for the pause in my climbing and the opportunity to focus on other aspects of life ✨
Some random vids of training things, nothing particularly structured or consistent but just things I’m enjoying atm.. mainly pull stuff go figure 🫣

Fun evening out for @arcteryxausnz with @redscopefilms and crew. Blueys summer storm sunset/rainbows really spoiling us 🤤
Been a hot min insta, a fairly high mental load partnered with almost exclusively trying routes and boulders above my limit(smart I know) has left me with the inability to execute literally anything I've touched in the past couple months lol
So here's a lil compilation of that 💀
Psyched to get into a summer of training 🥵
Cheese Monster 30/8a+ 👻✅️
Stoked on this nowra classic! Most of the climb came fairly easy to me but the boulder took 3 sessions before I could stick it, 1 session just to figure out if I could even reach the start mono(yuck) lol
Saturday I managed to snag that feeling when you wake up and know you'll probably send. Usually I'd get some minor repoint nerves trying to ground up for the first time but I just felt so relaxed and grateful to be out. Not thinking about the chains seems to get you to the chains most of the time, rad, wish I could bottle that feeling.
