USA Diaries | Part 1 —— A couple years ago, I linked up with a talented filmmaker @cassette_jr at a Leon near Charing Cross in London. We spoke about music, life and about how he had a vision of documenting my journey through music so far while showcasing his skill behind the lens. We mentioned how much influence the US has had on us both culturally and in particular the scene in New York. Martin floated the idea of going over there one day performing a set, meeting up with fans and shooting for the documentary we’re working on. If I’m being real, I found it difficult to see how it could happen, I put up barriers and it felt far away. My instinct knew it was possible, but if I’m honest I just struggled to mentally allow the idea in. Fast forward a few years and we have made ALL of the above a reality, purely through sharing emotions through music. It hasn’t for one minute come easy, but through belief and an adjusting of my mindset, the idea became a reality beyond imagination. To do it all independently too was a huge challenge but further emphasised the strength of the vision. I have to express a huge thank you to Martin, the whole team at @virginhotelsnyc and @theriffraffclub but in particular @lindseymaxwell and @kris.aap for giving us a platform to shine, trusting us fully and believing in our creative vision from the get go. I can’t thank you both enough. There are some incredibly exciting projects in the works which I’m still amazed have happened. Of course, a special mention to @fro.dera for always being more than I could ever ask for. From SE London to New York… Mad grateful for this experience and everyone we’ve crossed paths with.

For our G-Shock Radio takeover, Unification extends beyond the dancefloor. Ahead of July 4th at The Bath House, DJs @raphaelsworld_ & @brojamesmusic from the Unification lineup come together to present The Newness — a one-hour journey through sounds no older than six months, exploring the ever-expanding landscape of Black music. From soulful house to broken beat, Hip Hop textures to future-facing rhythms, this is about slowing the cycle down and spotlighting the records shaping tomorrow’s culture today. New music. Shared intention. One room before the room.

A couple weeks back, we had the privilege of hosting the 3rd edition of Soul Therapy down at @the_bbe_store Here’s a brief recap of how it went! On the night we had incredible selectors @eshe_mo_ @bussssssssssa @esthahh & @raphaelsworld_ take us through the gears. Nothing was left behind, wheel ups were spun and musical curve balls were thrown, keeping us all on our toes. We went from Ramsey Lewis to Kenny Dope and back again, all in classic Soul Therapy fashion. We have to express our thanks to @johnnyreckless24 and all the good people down at The BBE Store again. Much love to @the_music_suite of course and to all the Soul Therapy community that make the dance what it is. It would not be the same without you 🙏🏽 We’re still floating from that night but we’re equally excited for our next outing. Soul Therapy will return in August 2026 - Stay tuned for the details!
