“Que fais-tu, blanche tourterelle?” was the first opera aria that I found on my own.
Sitting in the FSU music library my sophomore year, I fell in love. After working my ass off the summer before my junior year to be able to sing “Que fais-tu”, Stéphano was my very first opera role.
What an utter JOY to have an avenue for the graceless, messy, charming, silly parts of myself. To have the opportunity to revisit him as a professional singer is a true milestone moment.
