Raised in a deeply musical Dutch-Moluccan family, Raphaelito grew up surrounded by soul, rock, hip-hop and UK garage. Since discovering rave culture in 2006, he immersed himself in techno, minimal and house, absorbing dancefloor energy that would later shape his own groove-heavy musical identity.
During lockdown, music became more than inspiration for Raphaelito — it became purpose. After DJ HIGHTS accidentally left his DJ setup at Raphaelito’s home for a month, he returned to find him fully immersed in mixing. That unexpected moment sparked a deep passion for DJing, production and organizing underground events.
Through his Momento and Selects events, Raphaelito quickly emerged within the Dutch house scene, sharing lineups with Joey Daniel, Michel de Hey and Stacey Pullen. Supported by artists including Marco Carola and Joseph Capriati, his soulful, percussion-driven sound continues gaining international momentum.
