SESSION THREE: FORGED BY FAITH (WORKSHOPS)
Raphael Oloyede challenged us to steward our finances with wisdom and how to avoid financial pitfalls — modeling to us how to honor God with what we’ve been entrusted. Seun Adebanjo led a powerful session teaching us how we as men can live a life of freedom and purity. Surree Davis reminded us that prayer isn’t passive—it’s powerful, active, and a weapon for every man that follows Christ.
This wasn’t just information — it was transformation 🔥

As I type this out, searching for the words to describe leaving my twenties and stepping into my thirties, the overwhelming feeling I have is joy. A joy rooted in true contentment with where the Lord has brought me, and in the confidence that He’s not finished with me yet.
I find joy in knowing that the day I accepted Christ into my life was the day the entire course of my life was redirected for the better. There is still so much left to accomplish, but I’m grateful that I don’t have to wait for “that day” to experience His joy I get to live in it today.

As my birthday approached this year, I felt a strong calling from God to take a three-day retreat. The ending of 2023 was A LOT (in a good way) to say the least, and it was clear that He wanted me to experience something different in the coming year. With some hesitation (I’m not even going to lie) I booked a weekend getaway at the @getawayhouse . Cut off from everything for the purpose of creating, consecrating, and connecting with and to the one who gives me life. The most important lesson these past years have taught me is to wait on the Lord. I can make plans and work hard, but it’s all for nothing if it doesn’t satisfy the one who created me for a purpose. Learning to put aside my desires is a constant journey, but waiting on and trusting the Spirit He has placed within me is the only way I can ensure that I am aligned with the correct path. There’s much more to say, but I’ll leave it at that and let the rest of what comes from me this year speak for itself. And last but not least, thank you Jesus for letting me see another year! Cheers 🥂
