𝑼𝒕𝒐𝒑𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒊𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒔#1 is, amongst my very last projects, one of the most important to my heart. This work will be shown as part of my upcoming solo exhibition 𝑳𝒐𝒈' 𝒊𝒏 𝒂 𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒏𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 at @doc_wooork where I decided to relate the exhibition place ( @doc.expo ) to the garden (@run.garden.doc ). This show is about inter species experiments, mutualisation, connexions and interactions in the living. Opening on March, 22 Stay tuned 🐜🏰🌿 📷 @marieebz #raphaelemine #ceramic3dprinting

There are still a few days to visit the Festival international d'arts et de Jardins @art_jardins_hdf where i'm delighted to show a new 𝑼𝒕𝒐𝒑𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒊𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒔 🐛🐞🕷🐝🦋 This installation designed for the local insects consists in a large central sculpture and several modules scattered around it, in the tall grass and in the water. Many thanks to the exceptional team who organize the festival and to all the people who work in the hortillonnages to offer us this wonderful natural space 🌿 Thanks to the studio team 🙏🏋‍♀️🫶 @milenachvd @margotanquezbariseau @th_clemence @3dwasp p 🤖 Produced @doc_wooork ⚒️ Crédits photos @yannmonel #raphaelemine #sculptureforinsects #ceramicsculpture #ceramicprinting #livingthings #habitats

English below 🐋 Mijn tekst voor See All This is verschenen! 🪲 My text for See All This has been published! The magazine asked 7 curators and museumdirectors to look ahead. Which themes and trends will shape the conversation?I wrote a text about nature as an equal co-creator. Artists Astrid Nobel, Raphaël Emine and Cosmo Sheldrake are highlighted. Do read the contributions by Lidewij Edelkoort, Jacquill G. Basdew, Heske ten Cate and others as well. Artist spotlight for UNDERGROWTH 🌿 Raphaël Emine @raphael.emine is a Paris-based artist who graduated from Villa Arson (Nice, FR) in 2014. His work has been exhibited internationally, including Fondation Thalie (BE) and Fondation Bally (CH) in 2024. Winner of the Artprize Ceramic Brussels 2025, he also presented a solo exhibition at Centre d’art Madeleine Lambert (Vénissieux, FR) in 2025. His first monograph is set to be published in 2026. Self-taught in ceramics, Emine discovered techniques through empirical observation and intuitive experimentation. Fascinated by the mineral nature of clay, he conceives his works as settings for forms of organic life. His practice centers on collaborations and interspecies relationships, creating not functional objects but instruments for observing living organisms. Some sculptures evolve within natural or urban environments, while others emerge from studies of biological forms, drawing on an iconography rooted in the natural sciences. For Undergrowth, Emine presents the Eggs series—ovoid ceramic forms hollowed with winding tunnels and hidden galleries, envisioned as habitats for a speculative parasitic species designed to live in symbiosis with humanity. Combining 3D printing, hand modeling, and natural materials such as sands, wood ashes, and minerals, these works blur the boundaries between human and non-human, reality and imagination, creating immersive spaces where ceramics, vegetation, and sound converge. #countyhallpottery #undergrowth #raphaelemine #contemporaryceramics #ceramicexhibition #londonart #londonceramics #ceramicartists #porcelainart #materialthinking #studiopottery #ceramicscommunity #3dprintedceramics #biologicallyinspiredart #interspeciesart #sculpturalhabitats

I am very happy to share some metamorphoses of 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 at the Centre d'art Madeleine Lambert (Venissieux) Whispering architectures is a mineral and organic installation inspired by traditional gardens and soilless growing methods used in agriculture and space research. The art centre is transformed into a vast biological laboratory made up of nourishing islands. Ceramic sculptures are immersed in vegetal mosses and trays of nutrient gels, serving as substrates for edible mushroom mycelia and the seeds of various plants. Over the three months of the exhibition, the art centre's team nurtures the installation, harvests some results of this experiment and documents the evolving interior landscape. Thanks so much @xjullien , @lenversdesexpos and all the art centre's team, gratitude also to @milenachvd 💚 and @dolling_atm 🛠 📷 by @milenachvd , Blaise Adilon and @lenversdesexpos #raphaelemine #ceramic #ceramicsculpture #biology #3dclayprinting #gardenlovers

Currently on view at @capsule_bikini « Whispering Architectures » - part 2. Thanks to @simonfeydieu for the carte blanche and @xjullien for the text coming along the exhibition. Bikini 📍15 bis rue de la Thibaudiere, 69007 Lyon. On view until October 31, by appointment. [...]

I can't wait to share some pictures of my solo exhibition 𝑾𝒉𝒊𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑨𝒓𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔 at the Madeleine Lambert Art Center in Vénissieux. For this project, I’ve transformed the art space into a vast Petri dish, where I’ve sown ceramics, seeds, mycelium, ferments, spirulina, and other living microorganisms. Only a few days after its opening, the installation is already alive, reshaping itself in ways that exceed my imagination: mycelium unfurls across the mosses, mushrooms push their way into the light, seeds awaken and sprout within moss and nutrient jelly basin. This interior landscape keeps evolving—more images will follow. Thanks to @xjullien for his invitation and trust, and to the art center’s wonderful team for their generous support This is truly a collective garden, and I am deeply touched by their care and presence in documenting and nurturing this experimental ecosystem -----> a special mention to @lenversdesexpos 🛠🌿💪🍄👑 An endless gratitude to @milenachvd ❤️ And a huge thanks to the amazing studio assistant @dolling_atm 🏺✨️ New images of the full installation and details of his evolution coming soon ! #raphaelemine #whisperingarchitectures #ceramic #experimentalgardening #gardendesign #livingart
