There is a famous Kemetic proverb often paraphrased as:
“Honor your mother and never forget what she did for you.”
The wisdom texts repeatedly emphasize reverence for mothers because they were viewed as earthly reflections of the universal feminine principle.
And within many African-centered spiritual interpretations today, the mother is also seen as:
* ancestor,
* first teacher,
* first rhythm,
* first nourishment,
* and the original vessel through which spirit enters the world.
If you didn’t, or don’t, have the greatest relationship with your mother, forgive her, honor her as the chosen vessel through whom you came into this world, and move forward in peace, healing, and prosperity for yourself.
If your mom is an ancestor celebrate the memory of her presence today, she is yet here in another form.

Gentleness is not the absence of power. It is power that knows itself so well and so completely that it has no need to prove itself. The gentleman is not weak. He is aligned and awakened. Did you catch the wisdom?
Many men are aware of their power, but they are not aligned with it. True strength comes from the symbiotic relationship between awakening and alignment.
That is why God could be gentle with David in the Bible story in Psalms. God knows God. There is nothing to prove. There is only presence and resolve.
David said, “Your gentleness has made me great.”
The same is true for you. The gentleness you offer yourself is what brings forth your greatness. It is not harshness that matures the soul, but the steady strength of compassion, clarity, and alignment.
Be gentle with yourself. Greatness grows there.
