Ironman prep dump week 25/32
What a comeback week, spent between Düsseldorf and Barcelona, which ended with two b2b brick workouts that’ve really got me fired up for next week’s T100.
~19 hours of training split into thirteen sessions
🏊🏼 (12.5 km) A solid week in the pool, with a specific swim session in preparation for next week’s race, followed by over 4 hours of cycling.
🚴🏻(300 km, +1800m) This was the week with the most cycling of my life—it started on the trainers in Düsseldorf and ended in the hills and along the coast of Barcelona. Riding in a group is awesome, but I can’t get used to it since all the races I’ll be doing will be no-drafting.
🏃🏻 (42 km) Another quiet week of running, but it ended on a very positive note, with a truly encouraging HM after the bike leg.
🏋🏻 (x2) I’ve been going to the gym regularly and increasing the weights; after all, there aren’t many weeks left to build strength in my legs and arms.
Gastronomic highlights: classic Spanish eating at @barpatata_
Next week is race week for the T100 in Pamplona. I’m surprisingly relaxed about my debut as a triathlete, but also really pumped.

Road to Ironman Thun 5.07.26 🇨🇭
A quiet week in the making. I should have been standing on the start line for Hackney today but I’m playing the long game right now and not pushing on too fast until I know it’s safe to do so. Gutted since Hackney is one of the best races of the year, hands down! There’s certainly a lot of goals this year which I may not get round to achieving but that’s how it goes sometimes. Taking each week as a new opportunity to progress in areas I can and trust me, this next week is going to be a milestone. I may not be able to run far but I certainly can bike far👀
