HUGE NEWS: I am joining Team @runna !! šāāļø
Running has taught me so much over the years: patience, discipline, and the importance of showing up even when itās hard. And now, being part of a community that lives and breathes that same energy? It feels incredible.
So if you have a race, a goal or want a programme to keep you motivated you can now use my code āFWBRDā to get 2 weeks free on the Runna app!
Runna has personalised plans from 5k all the way to ultra marathons, so whatever your training for, they have the plan for you! Go check them out!
So hereās to new challenges, new finish lines, and the amazing people Iāll meet along the way.
Letās go, Team Runna! šŖš½šāāļøšØ

A quiet week in the making. I should have been standing on the start line for Hackney today but Iām playing the long game right now and not pushing on too fast until I know itās safe to do so. Gutted since Hackney is one of the best races of the year, hands down! Thereās certainly a lot of goals this year which I may not get round to achieving but thatās how it goes sometimes. Taking each week as a new opportunity to progress in areas I can and trust me, this next week is going to be a milestone. I may not be able to run far but I certainly can bike farš
Thought Iād do a little insight into my current training routine. Not every week looks the exact same but this is the main focus at the moment. I donāt always hit this perfect but itās certainly my aim.
2 easy runs simply to build things back up and put running back into my routine. 2 rides minimum, keeping my fitness up as much as possible. 2 gym sessions with an upper and lower focus. 1 swim session as Iām trying to keep this up even when Iām back running again like I was before.
I wouldnāt say things are back to normal at the moment but starting to find my rhythm a lot more with my training which Iām super happy with.
So yeah, thatās a little insight into how Iām structuring my weeks at the moment but hopefully get the chance to switch things up again as we can re introduce more running back into the plan!

Picked up the bib⦠just not the start line.
This wasnāt part of the plan, but neither was the injury. Thatās the reality of chasing big goals, sometimes youāre forced to pause when all you want to do is push. The training block was feeling perfect, all the paces were ticked and the goal time was achievable, and this was the race for it.
Since arriving hereās it has been the biggest mental battle, every part of me wants to go out and see how I am on Sunday.
Itās frustrating, no doubt about it. But this isnāt the end of the story. The work is still there. The goal is still there. And so am I.
Healing, resetting, and getting ready for whatās next. Not to mention, finding new love and appreciation for all things fitness in the making.
It was a tough pill to swallow but sometimes the strongest move you can make is not starting at all.
Iāll see you at the start line next year. Thereās unfinished business here.
A couple of lovely rides banked with Isaac this week. Maybe some time with the running shoes is overdue! Excited for the comeback and to tie all this training in together nicely at some point!
Let me share the things which changed the game for me! Most runners donāt struggle because they lack motivation, they struggle because theyāre guessing. And trust me, Iāve been there.
Here are the biggest mistakes I made (and what to do instead):
Going too hard, too often ā Not every run should feel like a race. Easy runs build your engine so donāt skip them or rush them more to the point!
Running without a plan ā I used to just āgo out and runā and hoped Iād improve. Progress was slow and injuries crept in.
Following a structured plan changed everything. I now use Runna, and if you want to try it, you can use my code āFWBRDā for a 2-week free trial.
Ignoring recovery ā Rest days arenāt lazy, theyāre where the progress actually happens.
Comparing your pace to others ā Your journey, your pace. Stay consistent and the results will come. I got far too caught up on comparing my day 5 to someone elseās year 5.
Chasing quick results ā Fitness is built over weeks and months, not days. Trust the process and stay with it!
If you fix these, youāre already ahead of most runners.
Let me know if you would add any to these!ā¬ļø
