Born in South Devon, he trained at the Elmhurst School for Dance before graduating into the Finnish National Ballet in 2010. He joined The Royal Ballet in 2012 and was promoted to First Artist in 2014, Soloist in 2015, and First Soloist in 2021. His repertory with the company includes roles such as Prince Siegfried (Swan Lake), The Prince (Cinderella), Lensky (Onegin), Espada (Don Quixote), and Paris and Benvolio (Romeo and Juliet), among many others. Inspired by Helmut Newton and his iconic Le Smoking image with Yves Saint Laurent, this image follows a legacy of fashion, power, and sophistication. In 1925, Leica introduced the first mass-produced 35mm camera, fundamentally changing the way photography is practiced. One hundred years later, Leica marks this legacy by recognising photography’s power to observe, record, and shape how the world is seen. As part of the centenary programme, fourteen of my photographs have been selected for the global celebrations — marking a century since Leica established a photographic language defined by immediacy, proximity, and the decisive moment. As part of Leica 100: Witness to a Century, Leica has selected fourteen of my photographs for its global centenary programme—marking one hundred years since the Leica camera shaped a new photographic language, defined by immediacy, proximity, and the decisive moment. This image forms part of that continuum. Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla’s forty-year partnership spans fashion, cinema, and interiors, shaping the visual identity of Indian luxury. They have designed for India’s leading actors and actresses, collaborated on costumes for epic Bollywood films, and dressed an international circle that includes Dame Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Sophie Marceau, and Sarah Brown.
