I remember as a teenager, I always bumped the legendary R2Bees and Wizkid’s “Slow Down” religiously. I would daydream about collaborating with the music stars (I'm a failed musician, sorry retired musician🤦🏾♂️).
Okay let's move away from my musical biography. From watching the visuals for the song on Tv to blasting it on my speakers.
Fast forward to their 2017 collaboration “Tonight” and I won't go a day without blasting that tune after returning from lectures (still daydreaming of doing something iconic in the music industry😴🤤).
A bit of daydreaming here and there, graduating from university, reluctantly serving my country, starting my career as a music journalist and finally in 2021, I got a call from my good friend/brother (easily one of the best persons I've met in this no friend/no foe music industry) that “I've been picked to work as a publicist for R2Bees new single ‘Eboso’” off their fourth studio album ‘Back To Basics’.
All things being equal, work was done, the deadline was met, hours of phone calls sprinkled between 🇬🇭 and 🇳🇬, and most importantly 👝 was secured. Thank you for reading 💙🙏🏽
