I fell in love with the tea ritual.
The silence, the arrival into the present, steam rising, warm hands, a deep simplicity.
And as a weaver, it felt natural to create my own chabu, a base cloth for the practice.
Thank you to my dear friend @athousandopendoors for bringing this ritual into my life 🙏❤️

‘Fields of Play’ is about returning to the innate joy and playfulness within ourselves. 🙂
Each measures 19” x 25”, handwoven fibers over acrylic painted canvas.
