Behind the scenes of my ANZAC crosses installation at Mount Maunganui in 2026.
Thanks to my good friends, Madeline and Taco, who were very happy to get up at 5 am to make this happen.
This is my third year drawing crosses at the beach for ANZAC morning, and this year my goal was to get them perfectly lined up.
Do you think I nailed it?

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.”

ANZAC day is seeing these kids playing, happily enjoying the freedom that our brave men fought so hard to save!
110 Memorial Crosses for the 110 men from Mount Maunganui who died at ANZAC Bay on the Gallipoli Peninsula in 1915.
We will remember them!
