This major new analysis from Business and Human Rights Centre unpacks the global scope and scale of attacks – the highest number in the past 5 years. They found that there were nearly 800 attacks on human rights and environmental defenders in 2025. Thirty percent of those were against Indigenous people, who only make up 6% of the world's population.

While fossil fuel companies profit off of war, communities around the world pay the price. The U.S. government is using this as an opportunity to expand fossil fuel production, proving that they can mobilize massive renewable energy development, and are choosing not to.
The Amazon Soy Moratorium (ASM) has succeeded in reducing deforestation by 69% in monitored regions of the #Amazon. Today, less than 4% of soy grown in the Amazon is outside the rules of the ASM. But major soy traders are now exiting the agreement.
