Shy little boxfish... Sometimes diving in bad visibility lets you discover hidden creatures, like this baby boxfish.
My sister was visiting Koh Tao, and on our two dives at Chumpon pinnacle, the visibility wasn't great. During the first dive, I searched for 15 minutes but couldn't find this little guy.
Luckily, on the second dive, it appeared early on, and we had plenty of time to observe. It hid behind sea urchins, but watching it from afar was adorable.

Very photogenic bluespotted ribbontail ray the other day at White Rock, can’t recall seeing a spot on top of its eye before!
Also everytime I see one of these rays this song starts playing in my head hehe

You never know when you'll stumble upon a turtle...
They're quite commonly seen on Koh Tao's shallow dive sites, but deeper sites like Chumpon pinnacle are a different story.
I've only seen turtles there twice before, so I felt lucky to catch this turtle on camera a few weeks ago.

This little green turtle was chilling among the staghorn corals at Twins yesterday.
It's been a while since I have seen a turtle on Koh Tao, especially one that was that relaxed. It didn't seem to mind the camera at all.
