Mucha gente no lo sabe, pero la tortuga caguama es un auténtico fósil viviente. Su linaje ya navegaba por los océanos hace más de 110 millones de años.
Para ponerlo en perspectiva:
cuando el primer Tiranosaurio Rex pisó la Tierra, los ancestros de esta tortuga ya llevaban 40 millones de años dominando el planeta.
Vieron el auge de los dinosaurios, presenciaron el impacto del meteorito y soportaron el cambio climático radical que borró a los grandes titanes de la tierra.
Los dinosaurios desaparecieron... pero ellas aún siguen acá, nadando en nuestros arrecifes. 🪸✨

Cada Raya tiene un patrón único en su espalda, esta especie la Aetobatus narinari tiene un hermoso patrón de fondo negro con manchas blancas de variadas formas siendo esta una especie de huella dactilar única y que permite identificar a cada individuo por separado!
