Most are calling our era one that is defined by an ‘AI revolution’. But let’s be real, this claim misappropriates a word, a movement, that carries ancestral weight that sought to end imperialist occupations across history. And more pivotally, it is anything but revolutionary when we are living through surveillance capitalism in its later stages, performing the same old script to usher in progress and development. Their way to make it to progress is by harvesting our data and feeding us empty promises of a diluted, botched and co-opted version of ‘liberation’. Especially on this app. Meta and the like are reinforcing the colonial blueprint that extracts from and pillages our communities and land. Our liberation was not and will not be monetised by the same structures of power. To reclaim our digital autonomy and rights, we need to learn about the inner-workings of AI models and algorithms designed to control us and destroy the environment. In a conversation with @ragtechdev , this essay uncovers, in part, generative AI and algorithms in its original function and the usurpation of its technology by Big Tech to enable structural dominance, regulatory capture and absolute control over our data. Read the full essay via link in bio!

This time last year, we had a booth. This year? Five of our volunteers took the stage. And that meant so much more. At WDS, our mission has always been about empowering women in their technical careers and apidays 2026 felt like tangible proof we’re moving closer. Here’s how our incredible volunteers showed up: 🎤 Saloni Kaur kicked off Day 1 exploring AI dependency and hidden risks from a developer’s perspective, setting the tone with depth and honesty. 🎤 Natasha Ann emceed for Green IO 🎙️ on Day 2. Saying she did amazing would be an understatement, she absolutely SLAYED. 🎤 Aishwarya Elango challenged us to rethink sustainable architecture, not as a tradeoff, but as an integrated responsibility. 🎤 Durga R Manaswini Talagadadivi unpacked designing API models for Humans, Systems, and Agents. (We literally ran across the room to catch her talk. Worth every step.) 🎤 Sanjana kv deep-dived into the agentic AI stack: LLMs, MCPs, APIs, and what it truly takes to be AI-ready. 🎤 Victoria Lo closed with an AI-First strategy rooted in real-world experience, cutting through the hype and helping us understand when AI truly creates value. No one was sleepy after that. Two days. Countless conversations. So much growth. A huge thank you to Green IO 🎙️ for giving Saloni Kaur, Natasha Ann, and Victoria Lo, co-founders of ragTech the platform to share their story and spotlight the Techie Taboo game. Seeing the audience fully dive into the Responsible Tech deck and get so engaged was one of the highlights of the event. To our volunteers: Aishwarya Elango, Victoria Lo, Saloni Kaur, Durga R Manaswini Talagadadivi, Zawanah Sainuddin, Sugirdha V, Nemat Bano, thank you for showing up, taking risks, and owning your space. To our allies Mohan R P and Alwyn Tan: your support meant everything. And to the apidays organisers Jon Scheele, Baptiste Parravicini & Green IO 🎙️ organisers Gaël DUEZ, Madeline Toh, Thibaut Meurgue-Guyard, & the team at The Transmutation Principle: thank you for building platforms where these voices can be heard. We’re building something special. And this is only the beginning. 🚀 #WomenInTech #APIDays #GreenIO #WomenInAPI #TBT

第九集 Met two awesome tech ladies from Scape 💻✨ They really nailed it as tech experts, but at the same time were super friendly and easy to talk to. Also really cool that they’re doing podcasts @ragtechdev to share more about tech, makes it way more interesting (and understandable for tech idiots like me 😂). Thanks so much ladies (and Nat!) for doing this interview with me 💕

We’re still sitting with everything from yesterday. 🤍 *Stewards for Good: Women Shaping Technology for Public Good* brought together five women on completely different paths & one shared belief: technology should serve the public good, and women must be at the table shaping it. Our first Human Library-style learning circle. Real stories. Nothing held back. From building Singapore’s first women-only hackathon, to designing tech that makes systems more human, to fighting for people the system wasn’t built to see: every story reminded us that advocacy takes many forms. And the takeaway that stayed with us most? Designing technology is really about designing for a human being. Listening deeply. Understanding context. Leading with empathy. That’s not soft. That’s the work. 💻 Thank you to our incredible speakers, our volunteers, and to @opengovsg for being a true partner in community building. And to every woman in that room you proved what *Give to Gain* really means. ✨ When we give knowledge, mentorship, visibility, and opportunity, we all gain. #WomenInTech #StewardsForGood #IWD2026 #TechForGood

You can comment ‘LINK’ below if you want to read the full blogpost (and are feeling a lil lazy to go to our website ragtechdev.com hah) - note that the blogpost is catered more towards women in tech, as it follows my talk at the AI collective for international women’s day! I’m still fleshing out the intentional AI philosophy, so I don’t yet have many concrete tips; but rest assured if you follow me and @ragtechdev those will come :)
