A team of six paratroopers and two medical clinicians from @16airassaultbrigade parachuted on to Tristan da Cunha to help a British national with suspected Hantavirus. An RAF A400M transport aircraft, supported by an RAF Voyager, flew from @royalairforcebrizenorton in Oxfordshire to Ascension Island, in the South Atlantic Ocean, before heading to Tristan da Cunha.
Two former RAF Falcons were onboard to despatch the parachutists. Life after the Falcons for Parachute Jumping Instructors include undertaking High-Altitude Instructor (HAI) and Tandem Master Instructor (TMI) qualifications to support both training and front-line operational delivery of specialised UK military personnel.

🇬🇧 The RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team at Shuttleworth Season Premiere 2026 🇬🇧
The Falcons are the UK’s premier military parachute display team, based at RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, they display at venues all over Britain and Europe throughout the year. They have performed many times for the Royal Family and heads of state and set records and introduced many exciting innovations into formation skydiving.
The RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team is the only centrally funded, professional, military parachute display team in the UK. Their exciting free fall display, which includes advanced manoeuvres, falling at speeds up to 120mph, and their famous ‘hybrid’ display which includes the Heart and Crisscross Carousel, which manages to captivate all spectators.

This year we’re taking on 100 Miles in May to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.
Combat Stress is the UK’s leading charity for veterans’ mental health. For over a century, they’ve helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.
We’re taking the vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.
Thank you so much for your support.

Supported by a C-17, flown by 99 Squadron, the team descended over their home, RAF Brize Norton 🏠
As for the wind, what wind? The team came down with precision, lining up as one for Commander Air Wing to take the salute 🫡
