My recent trip to Vancouver brought me to the iconic @vancouverclub for season 3 of Wed Learn, a series of events organized by @lavistaevents , and this month was all about elevating the client experience. From having the same touch point throughout the planning process for the couple, attentive service (did you spy the live video footage in the kitchen in the event spaces?), and even a little room for the unexpected (hi Chef Barbie!) the entire team brings a desirable level of excellence to each event and wedding they host. I always say the @fairmontempress is my home away from home and it was so lovely to be able to partner with them for @theviwia ‘s most recent brunch and learn! From intimate celebrations to more grander ones their service level is unmatched and reminds me so much of the hospitality we experience when travelling to places like Portugal and Italy. The main stays like the Palm Court, Rattenbury, and Shaughnessy ballrooms are perfect for larger celebrations while the Library is the ideal space for a cozier vibe and the Harbourview Terrace really brings the wow factor with its sweeping view of the inner harbour. If you upgrade your stay to Gold you also have the opportunity to take advantage of the beautiful lounge with plenty of snacks and beverages too. We can’t wait to see what’s to come in the gardens and to have a cocktail or two in the newly renovated Q Bar! Well, maybe a few more than just nine 😅 Most people are shocked by the number of tasks full wedding planners take on so here are a few that may surprise you: ✨ Sourcing, assembling, and mailing invitations as well as RSVP management ✨ Securing and managing hotel blocks alongside your contact from the hotel ✨Creating the design for the day including floor plans, securing rentals, and arranging delivery/pick ups There is a lot more I can get into but I will save that for another day.
