The ‚Art of Noise’ exhibition, curated by Joseph Becker at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art @sfmoma explores how design has shaped the way we experience music over the past 100 years, bringing together around 300 objects, concert posters, album covers, and audio installations.
Originally presented at SFMOMA in 2024, the exhibition has now moved to the Smithsonian Design Museum, Cooper Hewitt in NY @cooperhewitt where it will be on view until August 16, 2026.
I’m very happy to have contributed some fine pieces to this exhibition, and encourage you to visit if in New York City.

My drawing ‘The System’ now on display at the Deutsches Design Museum in Berlin.
The drawing is built from the soundwaves of a recorded conversation I had with @radio_hack about systems, function and structure, turning dialogue into visual form.
Later, I wrote and recorded a poem which sits at the centre of the drawing. The poem and drawing both explore the idea of systems, not just mechanical ones, but social and cultural ones. “How individual parts interact to create something larger than themselves” - @radio_hack
That framework became a metaphor for social patterns, and something more personal; the repeated, normalised ways youth and desirability are discussed.
