Paleworks + other circle post-disciplinary creative culture Paleworks is a Berlin-based creative studio founded by Ozan Akkoyun and Yağmur Rüzgar, developing modular structures that establish a dialogue between object, display, and space. Rooted in Bauhaus principles as graduates and former lecturers of the university, each line is drawn with intent—letting form follow function. Over several years, the studio has released only three collections, prioritising depth and research over frequency. other circle is a post-disciplinary platform rooted in creative culture. Our mission is to capture moments and energies across disciplines. The Lab, 2100 Copenhagen 10th-13th of June
Free and open to all.

“Serving Spring” MDW26 April 21st, 10:30—12:00 Via Padova 11 - MM Loreto, Milan @paleworks x @olya____o , hosted at @deoron Together, we are pleased to invite you to Serving Spring, a sensory experience to pause and to arrive in the present. It’s a spring morning in Milan. Floral-infused beverages made from hand-picked and fermented young blossoms are served throughout the intimate gathering. Collected by Olya Tarasyeyeva over the past few months and designed exclusively for this occasion, they are presented in various colours on the Pale Tray installation by Paleworks. The new aluminium collection, born from the idea that a tray is a gesture, emphasises the quiet act of carrying what matters. A music set curated by @quintonmulvey enhances the immersive atmosphere. Hosted at Deoron during Milan Design Week 2026, Serving Spring unfolds through taste, visuals, and music. Limited capacity available—RSVP at [email protected]

- From Berlin to Istanbul: Berlin-based creative studio Paleworks lands at Mercado Design Days. 📍 Mercado Design Days takes place at 212 Studio in Karaköy, May 14-17. 🎟️ Tickets and details at mercadodesigndays.com Founded in 2017 by Ozan Akkoyun and Yağmur Rüzgar, Paleworks emerged from an ongoing curiosity of the founders in each other’s differing practices and the constant exchange this produced. From this foundation, Paleworks is rooted in an understanding of creativity as a unified discipline. This approach underpins their work across object design, creative direction & consultancy, visual identity, and photography, allowing projects to move fluidly between the tangible and digital. Their multidisciplinary work has been exhibited internationally, including the Bauhaus Museum, Maxim Gorki Theater, Milan Design Week, Berlin Art Week, other circle, Conceptual Biennale, Deutsches Design Museum, and the Venice Architecture Biennale.

Flow draws inspiration from George Nelson’s 1948 Struc-Tube—a modular exhibition system designed to be assembled by one or two people, packed into a crate, and endlessly reconfigured without tools. Like Struc-Tube, Flow treats display as a flexible framework rather than fixed furniture, adapting to changing spaces, needs, and narratives. Note: Images are sourced from George Nelson’s Display (1959), a book that documents pioneering display systems, materials, and spatial strategies, and remains a key reference in exhibition and display design.

We had the great pleasure of designing Ayşe Erkmen’s most recent book, Undone, initiated by Dirimart Gallery. As emphasised by its title, it consists only of ideas, projects and designs that were prepared for public competitions in different countries where Erkmen was directly invited to participate along with a limited number of competitors. These could not be realised and could not be done due to various reasons, and yet they are worth thinking through and discussing. Thus, the book aims to reveal an aspect of the oeuvre that was left invisible up until today, and to make whole a context that was not completed, but left half-done. (paragraph by Cem Ileri) In order to reflect the incompleteness and interrupted state of the Erkmen’s works, we designed the book with an approach that evokes the feeling of a sketchbook or notebook. We brought Erkmen’s sketches and drawings -that were created solely as part of her own process- to the cover and made central to the book’s concept. Her work can be monumental, small-scale, or seemingly absent once an exhibition concludes. Thus, in her work’s context, an “undone” one does not necessarily mean it is incomplete, and her sketches are no less significant than the finished piece.
