re.born is an interactive video installation featuring a custom trained AI bot, who will inspire and support.
✨ RADA MATEVA (BG) - re.born ✨
Mateva’s installation features an interactive voice-bot designed to inspire and support through its responses, which are translated into abstract visuals in real time. The work becomes a living, evolving video installation reflecting discourse around motherhood, work, and gender. re.born is both artistic exploration and social commentary, gathering firsthand experiences from mothers and feeding them into AI to reframe societal norms, policies, and perceptions of gendered labour.
Rada Mateva (b. 1983, Sofia) is a video artist, director, and cultural producer. She studied Theatre and Media Arts in Nuremberg and Film at the DFFB in Berlin, where she developed a practice combining live interaction, video, analogue and digital methods, and AI. Her works have been shown internationally, including at Fieber Festival (Berlin), Volumfestival (Norway), Videoholika (Varna), and Days of Bulgarian Documentary Cinema (Berlin). She is the founder of Avanti Film Discourse, a Berlin festival for experimental cinema, and co-owner of the motion graphics studio allnightsreserved.
