Had such an amazing time at Sonoma Raceway today! All the late nights & hours to get this car ready for the track today paid off. Got first place at @555engineering GRC time attack. PB’d and set a respectable 1:51 lap. Gave friends ride alongs. The car performed so well and super consistent. The vibes were immaculate today and it was awesome catching up with friends. Can’t thank all my sponsors enough for getting this car to this point. Introducing the HD Rear End Links for the FR-S / BRZ / GT86 / GR86 and WRX / STI. Built heavier and stronger than our previous end links, the HD features a significantly thicker CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum body, large spherical bearing, studded heim joint, and a double adjuster design for easy length adjustment. The pinch bolt design locks everything in place so nothing moves when you don’t want it to. Load tested to over 8,000 lbs of axial force. Cone was sitting right on the racing line, so naturally I did the respectful thing and punched it out of the way for everyone else. 😅 Consider it community service at speed. Unfortunately, that little act of heroism cracked my bumper and left a pretty solid autograph on my @racerx skid plate. The real MVP, though, was that skid plate. That hit could have easily torn into the cooling hoses and wiring underneath, and that would’ve turned one goofy cone incident into a much bigger problem. Instead, the plate took the abuse, did exactly what it was built to do, and protected all the vulnerable stuff under the car. 2:03.38. 💥 This one stings a little… because it came after I thought I was done pushing. Session 4. Non-competition. Nothing on the line… except proving to myself there was more in it. And there was. Dropped it to a 2:03.38 — faster than my podium lap. Lesson learned: complacency costs time. Always. Next time, we push from the start. #GRCorolla #TimeAttack #GRMovement #GRCup #pushlimits

2nd lap of the entire day, first time at chuck, and forgot about the double apex left. Got through the one and put power down you can see me go to shift and then realize I needed to turn. Immediately understeer so I kick in the clutch to try and rotate it but it snapped back. Lol

P2 in the GRC Cup & GR Movement Time Attack. 🏁 This lap ended up being the one that put me on the podium. But honestly… this weekend taught me a lesson about complacency. Going into Session 3 I thought I already had a solid lap on the board, so instead of pushing harder I decided to save tires and brakes. Bad call. Turns out there was still a lot more time left in the car and in the driver. In Session 4 (non-competition) I dropped it down to a 2:03.38, which would’ve changed things a bit… but that’s a story for the next video. For now, this is the lap that secured 2nd place. Street Class P1 in @grccup & @gr.movement 🥇🏎️🐺 The rear was hopping mid-corner and I couldn’t put power down cleanly. Every exit felt like a battle. If you watch the footage, the camera shaking coming out of turns — especially the skid pad — tells the story. Found out after the event the right rear strut had a bump stop issue and wasn’t doing any dampening. The car was literally ping-ponging back and forth under load. We fought it all day and still stood on top. Imagine what it’ll do when it’s actually working right.
