Easily in the top 5 meals I’ve had in DC 🇵🇷
As soon as I saw the calderos, I knew I was in for an absolute treat. The smell of sofrito and tostones almost wafted through the air connecting everyone in the restaurant while
@badbunnypr played softly in the background.
This is the food I grew up eating, pernil on Christmas Eve, tostones as snacks, coquito for a sweet sip, and arroz con pollo for comfort.
@quiquidc hit the nail on the head serving up food that could have easily come from my Mom Mom and Pop Pop’s kitchen. And mofongo that took me back to visiting family in Puerto Rico.
Whether you’re Puerto Rican, Latina/o, or just want some INCREDIBLE food, this is a MUST visit restaurant in DC for all 🫶
