One of my many lifelong goals has been unraveling the complexities of love. As a younger version of myself, I’d spend hours glued to the radio, looking up lyrics, and digging through household cassette tapes and CDs trying to piece together the concept of romantic love. The same love that seemed to have every artist imaginable in its grip, shaping their messages, rhythms, and emotions, trying to make sense of that all-consuming feeling. Eventually, those daydreams turned into reality, and I got to experience those emotions firsthand — raw, unfiltered, and far more complicated than any song could capture. What I’ve learned is that love is everything they say it is... and absolutely everything they do not. After stepping back from this series for a few years, I’ve found new meaning in these feelings and rebuilt a playlist that explores more of the spectrum of what romantic love can bring, through the sounds of soul, jazz, and classic R&B. Some of these tracks are the backbone of songs we know today, sampled or referenced in ways that feel like secret conversations between generations—connecting my memories to classic rhythms that still move me. quin-bee.xyz

My Cuessence Retreat set was all about reimagining the classics—blending Soul and R&B with House, Baile, and Garage to create something timeless & refreshing. This set was my final recording of 2024, and it feels like the perfect bridge to everything I’m building in 2025. Celebrating the roots while redefining sound. All links in my bio ✨
