On @ariskindtmusic 's newest record, the duo’s first in eight years, sophisticated sound design is imbued with a sense of narrative tension.
We recently caught up with Francis Harris and Gabe Hedrick, where we went deep about those group’s literary influences, songwriting process, and much more. Read the piece by clicking the Editorial link and listen to the record on Nina.

Gi Gi’s last full-length for Quiet Time, Lumino Pleco, was built on familiar samples, melted into a skunky sludge. It evoked a heat-warped meditation cassette unearthed from a Goodwill located in a black hole. The Texas producer’s latest, Dreamliner, is comparably immediate and propulsive. Here, Gi Gi explores spacey, kosmische-laced trip-hop. At first, these eight tracks come across placid and twinkly — calling to mind glitter stars twinkling atop a navy canvas, or tropical sun beams cutting through crystal water. But a jaggedness becomes apparent when lended a focused ear. Beneath slow motion arpeggiations and lullaby melodies, dubby percussion and sound effects gnash and quiver.

Bas Relief - Insulary EP (QTT29) is out today!
We love working w Bas Relief because they make original music that is hard to pin to a trend, category or scene. It is a pure product of their musical journey, from the emo bands they played in together, to IDM, post-rock, bass music and other influences.
5 years since their last release with us, the Montreal duo evolves their rough-cut IDM and pitch-corrected emo into something richer and more heartfelt.
Stream it everywhere or download the digital off our Bandcamp. Vinyl hitting stores soon.
Thank you for listening and thanks to Bas Relief for the music!
Bas Relief - The Water Fell
~
are you really reeling?
We all explode, we all die.
how can we fight it?
Can I go on? Can I cry?
sit near the river
to gross disgust under rock structures
how can we fight it?
turn the page already
Awash in autumn.
under rock structures
sit near the river
It all went olive.
incredible world unfolding through pages of trust
we’re getting the steady love of none
The ice rink left.
It fled our lives.
Awash, despondent.
The water fell.
fall in quick shallow holes
of being cloned
protection camo looks stuck in trenches
unilateral approach to you
privacy
The 40 fell.
It all turned olive.
The water fell.
The whole town swelled.
Awash in autumn.
The sky came down.
Let down. Slow down.
The Whole town swelled.
Awash in autumn.
Hello 🍀 we have a surprise new release today. So happy to present the stunning work of Liai with their debut album ‘Pome’
‘Pome’ is an 8-part album of rhythmic ambience, inspired by the intimacy and solitude of the midwestern countrywide, where Liai grew up.
This deeply personal set of tracks took 3 years to make, revealed in the careful craft of its sound design and use of space.
To us, Liai’s work sits at an ideal meeting point of experimental sound-design and emotional, pop-like themes. Put it on your headphones and see for yourself🌀
This is our first proper vinyl release, distributed by @rubadub_distribution to great shops around the world. You stream it everywhere and also buy it digitally on our Bandcamp (link in bio). limited vinyl copies available on our BC soon.
Thank you Liai for the music🎁
