A safe space for GNC folks to connect with Martial Arts without the toxic masculinity and binary that often comes with it. I have been to classes a couple times and it was mind-blowing to have so many queer people together finding their own power. If you got a ticket to the Friday night show of the festival, you might have noticed something a bit different. That’s because this was more than just a showcase; it was a leap into the unknown. The idea was simple. Take performers from across disciplines that usually wouldn’t work together and give them the freedom to co-create something entirely original in a collaborative rehearsal process. Nearly 2 months later, and the stage was set for a truly genre-defying queer work. We’d say it turned out pretty well, what about you?
