China's drag scene pioneer Yihao embarks on a pilgrimage to spread the gospel of queer culture 💒 Organised by drag artists @2000yihao and @floatingysgg of @queerest_label , ‘Drag Scenes Tour’ is a costumed carnival and rhapsody of the Chinese queer community.
In the eponymous short documentary by Issy Chan, we get an intimate glimpse into an extraordinary night of drag excellence 🏳️🌈
'Drag Scenes Tour' will be bringing Shanghai’s queer underground scene to Hong Kong, concluding at their final stop at Eaton HK. Featuring Yihao, and fellow drag performers Gypsy and Maggie, the performances will weave together extravagant visuals and captivating movements to create an immersive experience that transports the audience to a drag paradise 🌟

In these past five years, we were like newly formed limestone, pressing against one another, forming a structure. We were on the verge of becoming real land, yet at the final moment, a slight tremor disrupted us — we cracked, sank, and once again fell into the deep blue sea.
Gradually, we turned into starfish, octopuses, jellyfish… ghostlike creatures of the ocean. They are soft, boneless, and masters of camouflage. Alone, they are like riddles; in groups, they end up on the grill, seasoned with cumin and chili powder, consumed by humans. Yet when alive, in the eyes of oceanographers and artists, they are breathtakingly beautiful — even erotic.
