This is a wrap on my Season 6 journey! Officially!
Just wanted to make a final post thanking every single person who helped me get to this point! Whether you allowed me on your stage over the last 10 years, or dropped some stones on one of my hideously gorgeous headpieces - I appreciate the Vancouver Drag Community so so so much! I gave it my all with what I had available and I am so fudging proud of my darn package and run this season! It feels fully representative of myself and the drag I want to put out in this world!
I wanted to be visible and loudly NON BINARY AND POLY on @canadasdragrace because it’s a fun fudging REALITY TV SHOW! I really hope you’ve all enjoyed getting to know me a wee bit better! It’s okay to not understand or agree with a way another queer lives their life, but I hope those of you reading this treat though around you with respect 🐀 It is so so so easy to be kind and bite your tongue and THINK before you speak! It’s a very chic quality!

🐀 The Rat King 👑
Now I know some of you have the question “WHY a rat at the finale of @canadasdragrace PM?” But my question is “what else would I have done?”. This costume crosses my love for ballet, horror and humor seamlessly.
I knew I’ve wanted to do this look for years and what a perfect stage to release my whimsical beast upon! The Rat King in Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” is the evil antagonist; a role I was never able to play when I used to do this ballet! The ballet school I went to said only “females” could play that role - no matter how many times a “male” dancer asked , it was always waved off. It was a dream of mine to have that final death scene and be carried off the stage - but alas , I had to make it happen for myself!
When people think of rats they think of creepy crawlers that carry plagues or sicknesses… All these things are somewhat true - but rats are also very intelligent creatures. Sometimes the ugliest things can elicit the most beautiful of responses.
I was so happy to showcase so many off-putting, not typically “pretty” looks this season and I am so proud as the final curtain came down on my run this season, that I went out looking like the strangest little critter I could. Showcasing for alternative drag artists, and presenting my version of a Drag King at the finale is something I will always feel such immense pride over.
Drag shouldn’t be limited to what we’ve seen on TV on the past. Superstars come in all looks, shapes and sizes and I am so proud to have showcased that this season.
