To all our new followers: get to know us!
Queer Gallery is an international platform connecting queer artists, collaborations and audiences worldwide. We’re here to create space, visibility and long-term support for queer art.
If you’d like to learn more about what we do, or become part of the community, you can find everything through the links in our bio.
Even within queer art, the cisgender body still too often remains the central focus. And more specifically, the cis male body.
We want to actively make space for other bodies, other experiences, other ways of existing and being seen.
That is why we are currently looking for queer artists who work with trans and non binary people, and who place the beauty, complexity and humanity of those bodies and experiences at the center of their work.
Do you know artists whose work does this thoughtfully and powerfully? Tag them in the comments. We will look at every profile.

While our account is finally back and our Desire print release featuring work by Ohm Phanphiroj is now live, his account has meanwhile been disabled by Meta for the second time. Petty, unnecessary, and deeply frustrating.
Ohm’s work is art. Sometimes explicit, yes, but that does not make it p*rn, no matter how Meta chooses to classify it.
Do you also want Ohm to get his account back? Tag Meta in the comments and let them know.
Want a print from the Desire collection? Be quick. Some editions are already selling fast. Link in bio.
THANK YOU @reprouncensored
For helping us get our account back.
It feels complicated. On one hand, we refuse to be pushed out or erased by platforms like Meta. On the other hand, it feels deeply uncomfortable to keep building within systems that continue to enforce queerphobic policies and censorship.
For now, we choose to stay visible. To keep fighting when necessary. Because queer art deserves space just as much as any other art. Because our artists deserve to be seen. Because being silenced was never an option.
Here are three works from our collection:
1. Alexandra Obochi from Nigeria, whose work was also removed by Meta
2. Jelil from the Netherlands
3. Moni Jia Rui from Switzerland

“My name is Ohm, and I am a storyteller. My journey in art has expanded for more than 20 years through my travelings and observing the world. I believe in the power of photography and moving images. I am here to create and to share with you my passion. If my work touches you, moves you, or makes you feel uncomfortable, then I have done what I came here for.”
WE'RE BACK!
We already knew we weren’t violating any rules by sharing queer art and queer bodies through an artistic lens. Meta clearly had a harder time understanding that.
For a moment, Queer Gallery was erased from Instagram without warning. A platform built to support queer artists from around the world disappeared overnight.
But we are not going anywhere.
Queer art deserves visibility.
Queer artists deserve platforms.
And we refuse to let ourselves be quietly erased.
Thank you to everyone who supported us, shared our backup account @queer_gallery_backup , sent messages, and stood with us these past days. It meant more than you know.
Now let’s continue where we left off!
Our special print release with Ohm Phanphiroj (whose account got suspended) is going live on Friday! Want direct access? Subscribe to our newsletter through our link in bio. You'll directly receive an email with a special link and code.

About I exist!
Since 2019 photographer Jasper Groen documents the life of trans men and non-binary people in countries where the lives of those are under pressure.
In Colombia laws are among the most progressive in the world, but in reality trans people are treated as outcasts. In Japan trans rights are evolving, marked by recent landmark court ruling removing forced sterilization requirements, but significant hurdles remain. In Japanese families the topic is often ignored and people transition in silence. In Russia laws and society are downright violent towards trans people. Kenya’s laws do not recognize them, but especially younger people slowly start to show some understanding.
This project focuses on trans men and non-binary people, who are less visible and heard in public debates than trans women. But they do exit. All photos come with a self-written text by the person in that photo, making it not only a series about trans people, but also with them.
