This figure increased by 0.7% since a previous 2017 study. Why is that? No, it's not because it's "fashionable." Young people have warmer attitudes toward trans folks when compared to older generations. Adults are also more accepting of trans folks when compared to previous years. Increased awareness and evolving language help young trans folks understand their relationship to their gender. Transgender and non-binary people have always existed.
