At Queens against Borders, we have been supporting our trans and queer siblings since 2015, be it financially or with giving a platform for arts and culture, many trans and non-binary icons have graced our stages and we thrive on these collective solidarity works
A day of recognition, celebrated around the world on March 31st, dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments and victories of transgender and gender-expansive people, while simultaneously raising awareness of the work that is still needed

We are still glowing after our Drag Makeup Workshop last month 👑🥰
One fabulous October afternoon, the talented and kind teacher @rajrougee guided a group of LGBTIQ refugees to create a new look and express ourselves in a unique way.
Huge thanks to Raj for sharing your skills, to @queensxborders for the collaboration and to @awo.begegnungszentrum for hosting us!

Last week, ORAM and Queens Against Borders joined forces for our Drag Makeup Workshop for LGBTIQ refugees - and it was fabulous!
Our incredible drag mother for the day, @rajrougee , encouraged us to be creative, experiment and express ourselves. After all, in drag, there are no rules!
We laughed, learned new techniques, and supported each other to find a stunning new persona for the afternoon 💖

Throwback to one of my proudest moments of this years performances, raising the flag of p@lestine in defiance of fear, both from Germany and the Czech Republic! Having a stage time for @queensxborders and proving that our fight against racism and xenophobia will never be diminished, queer refugee and Arab immigrants voice will always be loud against injustice and for me to hold such a space is an honour i carry!

Like Queens against Borders, SOS Humanity was founded in Berlin in 2015, to help rescues and provide aid for refugees and people fleeing to safety. 10 years later we celebrate a milestone with providing a platform for refugee queer artists, as they aim to reduce the inhumane treatment of refugees in the Mediterranean Sea!
