I won’t get on a plane without packing these 3 herbal immune supports first 😷 1. Elderberry Syrup — brewed with local berries harvested this summer, double extracted Reishi tincture, vitamin C packed hibiscus, ginger, cardamom, Ceylon cinnamon and raw local honey 🐝 2. Be Well Tea — a mildly pungent, floral blend high in volatile plant oils for when you’re questioning if you need to call out of work. Featuring immune supportive herbs including tulsi, goldenrod, lemon balm, echinacea root, ginger, elderflower, sage and rosemary 🫖 3. Echinacea root extract — fresh from the garden and straight into tincture and alcohol-free glycerite preparations! Dug these roots up myself with my friend Jo @botanicprovidence 💕 In addition to taking precautions like masking, investing in air purifiers, and staying up to date on vaccines and boosters, there are so many fantastic herbs that can help support a healthy immune system during these long winter months ❄️ Stock up your at-home apothecary with some of these thoughtfully prepared small batch remedies and more! 🌺

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, FRIENDS! 🎃 Fun fact: Halloween is actually the anniversary of my spooky lil tarot and astrology business. I’ve been the Queen of Bones for 6 heckin years now!! 🦴👑 To celebrate this milestone, I’m offering 6 full (60 min) and 6 quick (30 min) readings at a deep discount! For these sessions, we’ll be working with the new deck my friend @eezzll just released: The Orthrysian Tarot! If you missed out on the fun last night at @worldsfairgallery , here’s your chance to remedy that ;) This deck features designs taken from copperplate etchings of mythological figures and scenes. Inspired by the Titans, a race of gods and goddesses that preceded the Olympians, the deck breathes new life into the old and forgotten stories. I’m excited to continue to learn about these myths through working with the deck and look forward to exploring these archetypes with my tarot clients! 🔮 Wanna book a reading?? Check my bio for links to my site!

Stopped by my friend and Providence artist Michael Ezzell’s studio yesterday to talk tarot and gain some insight into the creative and mythological inspiration behind his new deck: The Othrysian Tarot! When Michael and Abby first approached me about offering some readings with the deck I was honored and thrilled at the opportunity! I’ll be channeling the energies of the Titans and pulling cards at @worldsfairgallery for the closing of their current show — featuring original etchings of the cards by @eezzll ✨ Definitely a tarot career highlight to be invited to read at the public reception for this incredible deck and to have this level of access to its visionary creator! I feel so lucky and inspired to have such artistic and devotional fellowship here in Providence 💜 Swing by for a reading with me at the gallery this Thursday from 6-8pm! Libations provided by @littlebittecocktails and @botanicprovidence 🥂 Shout out to @sc.abz for bringing us all together for this, and to @worldsfairgallery for hosting us!

Read at my first ever WEDDING last week 💒 So happy I grabbed a few shots of the venue before the festivities got underway because I was busy reading for guests the entire night! I didn’t really know what to expect from the experience because I’d never done a wedding before and I honestly couldn’t have had a better time 😍 It was such a fun novel experience, especially for folks who wouldn’t normally approach my booth at a market. I read for a lot of people who’d never had their cards read before. And I just think it’s such a cool icebreaker for your wedding guests to be able to connect with each other over their card pulls! The tarot booth was so popular, I was only supposed to stay for the first 3 hours but ended up getting the ok to stay and read the whole night because I had a line of guests wanting a session 😅 What a fun party — gorgeous weather, beautiful setting, good folk. So happy for the beautiful couple!! 🩷 11 outta 10, if you’re planning a wedding and this is your kinda thing, I would 1000% recommend booking a tarot reader for your reception!!

Update from the babe cocoon 💗 Baby is still cocooning! This is an unexpected turn of events, no one thought my sister would make it to her due date but we are officially three days past it now! I told my sister I think baby wants to be a Taurus moon so we’ll see if she decides to make her debut in the next couple days 🤞🏻 Mom is doing awesome, very active and in good spirits despite catching my travel cold. I’ve had lots of opportunities to practice applying herbal remedies including whipping up a goldenrod steam bath with my niece. This morning she asked me to make some more potions with her — a point of great auntie pride! 🥹 I had a reading with @magick.attic the day before I left for Indiana and was told to be open to the possibility of having to change my travel plans which has indeed come to pass. I sadly had to cancel my appearance at @briggsnursery this weekend. There will be lots of great vendors and artisans at their pop up market. For folks in the area — I highly recommend stopping by! We’re all of course very excited to meet the new baby and welcome her into the world. At the same time, it’s been a nice change of pace for me to get to slow down from running my two businesses to spend time with my family. What a lesson in moving at the pace of life in all its slow (until it’s not), glorious unfurling 🌀 Slide 1: me holding the 300 year old skull of a Celtic man in the care of a random gentleman we met on the street on my first day in South Bend Slide 2: swallowtail butterfly pollinating blessed thistle Slide 3: Ila modeling the shirt we colored together (thanks for the craft idea @snacktimeart ! 🩷) Slides 4-7: goldenrod steam bath potion making for sinus infection Slide 8: my sister at 40 weeks pregnant sprinting up a hill Slide 9: porch swinging in South Bend Slide 10: offerings to Jupiter in Cancer 💜✨

Pick a card! I’ve been having such a blast reading for folks this week. Thank you to all my clients taking a leap of faith into what always feels like such an affirming gift! Here’s a recent testimonial from a new tarot friend @riversedgeintuitivearts who booked a session with me back in February: “I cannot recommend Emily highly enough as a tarot reader. Her compassionate candor with the cards helped me gain clarity and direction through a challenging, multilayered situation and I left my reading feeling empowered with actionable perspective. In particular, Emily’s synthesis of tarot and astrological knowledge added a special depth to my reading, helping to illuminate larger patterns amongst particular threads. Her wise presence was an extraordinary anchor in a time of great uncertainty for me, and I still reflect on the warm, supportive, yet direct messages she brought through the cards.” There’s still time to get on my books for 15% off! Use coupon code BABE15 through the end of July at checkout 😊 #rhodeisland #providenceri #witchesofrhodeisland

Some recent ritual offerings to Spica ✨ Spica is the bright star in the constellation Virgo. This brilliant, blue-white star is associated with the goddess Astraea in Greek mythology. Astraea (her name comes from the Greek word for star “aster”) is often depicted holding the scales of justice and was historically conflated with the goddess Dike. She lived with humans during the Golden Age, a period of peace, harmony and abundance. As humanity descended into mistrust, conflict and greed, she fled to the sky, taking her place among the stars as the constellation Virgo. Demeter, goddess of field and harvest, bread and seasons, is also associated with the star. I chose a moment to propitiate the star-goddess when the waxing Moon was conjoined with her star on the midheaven. I called on her to help me to live in concert with the divine natural cycles of the planet and to help me remember a time before war, empire, greed and exploitation so that I might do my part to help bring about such times again in the here and now. Her plants are sage and mugwort. At the end of the ritual, I pressed the fresh mugwort tincture that’s been macerating this last month and prepped a new batch of sage tincture in her honor. Astro-magic requires you to believe that time is alive and composed of many spirits, and that it’s possible to be in direct contact and relationship with these spirits. It’s a hard thing to wrap your head around if you’re living inside a Euro-colonial scentific-materialistic paradigm… and if it’s not your cup of tea, no worries — I totally get that. Performing ceremonial astro-magicks helps me position myself relationally to the world, to time, to the material and the immaterial. I’m reminded of the pulsing aliveness of time, and the many spirits which weave together to give its fabric form. I’m reminded of my ability to participate in the weaving process, too. May Spica-Astraea-Dike-Demeter — the great stellar ear of wheat, virgin goddess, dispenser of justice and of bountiful harvests — shine down favorably upon my humble mortal toils so that I may bring forth the potent medicines of the land to those in need of them. Amen!

☀️ Exciting announcements ☀️ I’ll be away most of August to help my sister during her labor and postpartum journey… … And since I won’t be taking clients during my time in the new babe cocoon, I’m offering a 15% discount on all my in-person and virtual tarot and natal astrology sessions for July! ✨ If you’re desiring a little guidance or clarity… ✨ If you need a gentle cosmic nudge to take that next step… ✨ If you’ve been wanting to book a session but haven’t pulled the trigger yet… Now’s a great time to pull some cards and talk about stars with me! I’m so honored to join my family in this sacred moment as we welcome the newest member into the world and surround them in the love and healing we all deserve.
