THE OTHRYSIAN TAROT
It’s finally here!! I’m so overjoyed by all the pre-orders that came in for this project. I’ve been anxiously twiddled my thumbs in waiting, so thank you for your patience. But now that they’re here, I’m awe at how great they turned out!! @shuffledink did an amazing production job of them.
I’m officially all caught up on shipping out orders, so decks will be trickling out into the world soon! If you still haven’t gotten yours, head to the link in my bio to get one ✨✨✨

I’ve been in lotus land for the last few weeks, but wrapped on this mural project just in time for spring. The client still has some more art hanging and decorating to do, but here’s all the blooms and plumes I painted in her stairwell 🪷🪷🪷
I started this etching over a year ago and it’s finally finished. When designing the tarot deck, I had a hard time deciding on which style I wanted for the cups. None of these made the cut, but I loved the idea of arranging them together, like they’re the holy grails at the end of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Which one would Elsa pick to kill off her boyfriend kinda vibe.
I normally hate the edition printing part, but this was a lovely evening well spent. This etching will have a couple silkscreen layers added to it next.
Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing the diverse, unique, and exciting entries we’ve received. Each entry will be evaluated by the esteemed members of our Judges Panel, for careful and thoughtful selection of the winners in each category.
In addition, the top finalists in the People’s Choice Award will be announced for the public voting process which begins on the 21st of June.
All winners will be announced via livestream on the 25th of July and across our social media channels on the following day.
Details will be posted on all TABI social media channels, website, and members forum.
Best of luck to all authors, artists, and creators participating in the 2026 TABI CARTA Awards!

Closing on Saturday, in the Updike room on the third floor of the PPL, TURN THE PAGE is a group exhibition showcasing artworks repurposed from deaccessioned books curated by Andre Lee Bassuet.
We are spotlighting Michael Ezzell.
Michael Ezzell uses a range of media to create his illustrations. In the stories he tells with his printmaking and painting he explores esoteric symbolism and mysticism, weaving characters and icons reminiscent of Greek and Roman myths into new narratives and worlds. Ezzell’s work presents a window through time and reality; an escape into realms of fantasy and wonder that mix and merge into one another, inviting us to question what is real and what is make believe. He holds a BFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art & Design.
From the artist:
The Junior Classic is an ongoing series of works on old book pages, which you’ll find a few of them here. It began in high school as an altered artist book project, where we took old or discarded books and glued pages together, painted all over it, cut things out, added new things, to create an art object completely altered from its original purpose. It was a way of re-imagining something mundane that no longer served its singular use, turning it into a portal to another realm. I altered a few more books after that, then found I really enjoyed collaborating with the contents of existing book pages. Illustrations in Alice in Wonderland were a prolific jumping off point because they already had this fantastical element to them. When I’m at antique stores, I now search for weird and obscure manuals, or children' s books with lots of pictures or funky text formatting. My biggest artistic influences are Greek and Roman mythology, Surrealism, and classical architecture, so I try to infuse my world into the pages with all these different lenses. The techniques I use are very widespread, including gouache, spray paint, collage, graphite, and watercolor. This series acts as an extension of my sketchbook practice, allowing me to play around with various media, compositions, and stories. Each page is approached as a response to the existing page and each mark I make is always changing.
Wrapping up VERMILIO this week with a special evening with @queenofbones_ and @botanicprovidence tonight from 6–8pm. Then I’ll be hosting gallery hours tomorrow 3–7pm and Saturday 11–2pm.
It’s been really fun for me to play around with the printing of the individual cards, and it’s certainly just the start. Here are a handful of my favorite compositions from the show. I’ll definitely be making more of these, and some will get editioned too!
Hope to see you tonight đź”®
VERMILIO opening reception is this Thursday evening and I hope to see you there. But if you can’t make it or want to come view the show at another time, the gallery hours I’ll be hold are posted here as well. Come say hi and let’s chat!
