All I can think about is little Quannah. Growing up without seeing your people represented in this way, of beauty, makes you feel like it could never be you and it never WILL be you. Too all the people and kids that made fun of my nose, how skinny and how tall I am, how ugly my features seemed to be to everyone else, thank you because you built character in me and helped me find my voice but also🖕🏽 you for making me believe I was never good or pretty enough. All my teen years and younger, I never truly felt beautiful. I would’ve never imagined in my lifetime that I could be on the COVER of the Oct. 2022 Best of Beauty issue for Allure Magazine. What an honor and Mahsi’choo (big thanks/ thank you very much) @allure for this opportunity and for being a part of changing perspectives and breaking barriers for those who may have felt the same as me growing up. 🪶💖✨ 📸 - @cassblackbird 🧥- @heathermary.jackson 💇🏽‍♀️ - @naeemahlafond 💄 - @romyglow Article by @alyssaklondon is linked in bio✨🫶🏽

‪For Quannah ChasingHorse, the modern sustainability movement is simply a reflection of the work Indigenous communities have always carried out. In her teens, Quannah began to understand the impact of oil and gas extraction on her hometown of Eagle Village, Alaska; speaking on that issue, in addition to Indigenous rights and Arctic conservation, collided with a burgeoning career as a model—growing Quannah’s platform and establishing her voice as among the most influential in the youth climate movement.‬ ‪For Issue Five, we invited Amber Valletta to curate a portfolio of women across generations, including @iam_samata , @steph_shep , @nallelicobo , Monic Uriarte, and @andreeadiddy , who are fighting tirelessly for clean air, animal rights, Indigenous sovereignty, access to education, circularity, conservation, and more.‬ ‪Read the story and watch the full video at the link in bio‬ ‪Quannah wears Canada Goose throughout.‬ ‪Photographer @maxfarago ‬ ‪Fashion Editor @shawnmlakin ‬ ‪Talent @quannah.rose at @thesocietynyc ‬ ‪Hair @teddycharleshair at @nevermindagency_ ‬ ‪Make-up @hollysilius at @r3mgmt ‬ ‪Set Design @jeremyreimnitz ‬ ‪DOP @jaredbedrejo ‬ ‪Video Edit @chasepcoughlin ‬ ‪Photo Assistant Keith Kleiner‬ ‪Hair Assistant @selinaboonbeauty ‬ ‪Make-up Assistant @lilynalbandyan ‬ ‪Production Assistant @paigeklone ‬ ‪Thanks to @canadagoose

Last week, the Trump administration announced an oil and gas lease sale in the Arctic Refuge that would auction off 680,000 acres of sacred, irreplaceable lands on the Coastal Plain. As Gwich’in people, we have been fighting for decades to protect these lands. Not only is the Refuge a safe haven for the caribou, nesting grounds for millions of birds, and the home of dozens of other species of wildlife, it is part of our cultural and spiritual identity, and it is inextricably linked to our way of life as Gwich’in. This connection and relationship is at the center of why we will never stop fighting to protect this sacred place. Take a minute to stand with us and tell oil companies that the Arctic Refuge is not for sale. 📱 SHARE this video and help raise awareness! ✍️ Add your name at the link in bio. #standwiththegwichin #protectthearctic #gwichin #indigenous #indigenousrights #defendthesacred #conservation #arcticrefuge

“We speak in the voice of father sun and mother moons rhythms. We speak in the spirit and strength of our warrior women and men. There’s a few of them… spiritless and pitiful.. Then there’s millions of us.” - @caseycamphorinek 🪶🤍 A quote from a matriarch I am very much inspired by. Will be posting Iditarod feels and moments in the near future. Just holding onto the memories and good medicine of returning home and being w my ppl🥰❤️‍🩹

Despite the bad medicine and energy, I still choose to show up authentic and firm in my truth. I still choose kindness, yet people take advantage of it and call it weakness. I still choose to do the work rooted in love and understanding, to create spaces of mutual respect. I still choose to offer my heart and spirit, putting my own peace on the line for my people, culture and ways of life. If you’re perpetuating lateral violence, Darvo, bullying, and ignorance, you’re part of the problem and it’s up to you to do the work to unlearn those tendencies and to unpack those insecurities that guide you. I will not tolerate any form of bigotry, bullying, and hate but I will continue to uplift and support those that move in all ways that are good, beautiful and impactful. Let’s encourage each other to truly heal, take accountability when needed, and call IN our community members to be their best self. There’s a lot of work we all need to be doing to dismantle the system that upholds violence and abuse, racism and hate. Let’s not forget who the real perpetrators are and focus on unity and justice, picking each other apart and causing division only benefits our oppressors. Lock in yall, we need to challenge the patriarchy, burn it down and rebuild with our traditional teachings of upholding a Matriarchal society/system that nurtures and centers the protection of our children, women, and elders. Pls continue to support and uplift - @gwichinsteeringcommittee @silainuat @niwrc @mmiw_media @mmiwhoismissing @noamblerroad #protectthearctic #standwiththegwichin #noamblerroad #mmiwg2s

Some moments of home, and some reminders of the reality we are living❤️‍🔥🪶Find those moments of grounding, strength and love so when we face our reality, we can show up in ways that are impactful. Take action, call your reps and senators, protect each other, know your rights, love hard, hold space for grief, and dont stop talking. Never conform, never turn away, and never let fear stop you from doing what’s right. Advocacy and simply using my platform has caused me to be heavily shadowb4nned across all my socials, and I’m sure many of you are experiencing the same. So let’s keep engaging and encouraging each other, we can’t wait for things to change and work in our favor.

Vogue World Hollywood 2025✨💚 This one was so special, but I had a hard time embracing all this day had to offer. Getting to see some friends, the joy and excitement shared by everyone involved, and the love of fashion and storytelling is always a treat. The day before show day, we had rehearsals all day, I wasn’t expecting to come home to bad news. I had such a fun day and was excited about which look they were going to choose for me to wear on the runway, but shortly non of that mattered anymore. I lost my bestfriend/sister, she took her journey into the next life and I fell apart. Going to work the next day felt impossible and the segment of the runway I was in was “Summer of Love”, the direction we got was “be happy, smile, frolick, dance, engage with the audience, and have fun”- all those things felt so out of reach for me, and I had spent the whole night crying, barely slept and couldn’t get myself to reset for the day ahead. I got to set and my incredible friends knew right away, they all showed up for me and spent the day making me laugh and getting my spirits up. I couldn’t have done this without the love and laughs offered by some of the funniest and kindest models I know. Forcing myself to show up and keep it pushing, truly helped me from spiraling and falling into the depths of grief. It’s never easy to constantly balance the beautiful moments and opportunities while simultaneously navigating the challenges of grief. That’s the reality that Indigenous people constantly experience, the never ending death and grief, losing multiple people in a short period of time and trying to stay positive. The smile, was the love I felt from my sister, knowing she was one of my biggest cheerleaders in life, constantly hyping me up and telling me how proud she is. Thinking of her in that way allowed me to celebrate this, even if it was just a little bit. ❤️‍🩹✨Mahsi’choo Vogue and the incredible team, always grateful and forever excited about the work we do.

“This is who we are, we are the caribou people. If there is something that you love, that you would want to protect, no matter what–that is what we are trying to do, right now.” The Gwich’in have been fighting for permanent protection of the Porcupine Caribou herd’s calving grounds for decades. Our Elders, Chiefs, leaders, and people know that oil and gas development would cause irreparable harm–to the caribou and to the Gwich’in. In 1988, our Chiefs wrote up a resolution that still guides us today, and we continue to stand united in our fight to protect Iizhik Gwats’an Gwandaii Goodlit (the Sacred Place Where Life Begins). But this sacred landscape, and the caribou, are facing grave threats under this administration. Listen to the powerful voices of our Elders, leaders, and people over time on what this means to us, and why you should use your voice to fight with us. #standwiththegwichin #protectthearctic #gwichin #indigenous #indigenousrights #landprotection #defendthesacred #alaska #conservation #wayoflife
