After 6 days, the
@worldcurling junior mixed doubles championship at the
@ualbertasaville , was about to crown a new champion. Would it be the perfect Canadian team or would the Japanese curlers grit it out.
It was as expected both teams scoring through the 8th end after 6 it 5-3 Canada. In the 6th, Japan had the hammer and scored 1 on their power play, Canada with the Hammer in the 7th, Canada called their power play, unfortunately, Japan was able to steal one, with the hammer in the 8th, Canada only needed to get one, and stop Japan from stealing. Canada missed their first shot and were playing catch-up with the hammer, Canada still had the chance to pull out the win, unfortunately, there last shot was too heavy and missed the mark, letting Japan steal 2 . Final Result Canada 5 - 6 Japan. Japan wins gold and Canada win silver. What a week and what an ending.
