This was a very practical and difficult shot on steadicam where we mounted a hostess tray with four martini glasses filled with water, that would be removed in the shot. I had a paddle on a noga arm, clamped to my lower post, opposite the martini tray, with four weights equaling exactly the weight of a filled martini glass on the tray. My Dolly Grip would remove one in conjunction with me, calling a number based on the martinis placement, depending on which character took which glass.

A damn challenging oner for me starting with a crane step off, on trinity, with remote wheels tilt control, a gyro, 90% of my full speed, lyrical timing, 2 motion controlled camera rolls, 10 camera marks to hit, 4am shooting time, and only 6 goes at it before we lost talent. 😮💨
Being ‘just’ a camera operator is never enough. The A cam op mentality and managment is what made this possible, alongside every one of my crew team members.

120MPH downforce from a Black Hawk, this was one of the most difficult shots I’ve had to do with my volt at 100, little KS-4 at 100, wind screens, and antlers.
Wish i had a behemoth of a KS-8x8 and heavier antlers weights for it.
