Construction Timelapse of a project we did for @heddaudio in their office / production space. Their new listening room! This project was a full spec build project for us, where we constructed the room as it stands as well as the acoustics and infrastructure inside. This video shows a fraction of the project but gives an impression to the several week build we undertook. More coming soon #studio #acoustics #heddaudio

QS1 began with sound engineers Diego and Lorenzo, who build custom studios in Berlin. They grew from a basement space to a full creative collective and business. If you live in Berlin and need a custom music studio that doesn’t bother the neighbours, ask them. It all started with a creative space in Charlottenburg—and with parties. Both founders studied sound engineering, but throwing events gave them hands-on experience. “We realised we had a lot of reverb in the room and wanted our speakers to sound good,” Diego says. “We researched. We read about materials like rockwool and, through trial and error, built our first acoustic panels.” For this interview, the founders, artists, and other creatives behind QS1 talk to writer Jonas Opperman about community, lineups, and why DIY matters. Hinterhaus tells behind-the-scenes stories of people who make music happen. From Berlin, with 🩶 Words: @mojo.0g Images: @maramenzel Edits: @badalexcheves

In the last few weeks we got to work at @refugeworldwide rebuilding their studio in the new hub @refugeworldwide.space The task was to move their DJ studio and rebuild it identically to the one in Oona Bar, with some new additions. We’re happy to have finished this project last week, to work with their lovely team on site, and can’t wait to see the radio back in full swing!

After some reflection, here’s a little overview from the Studio we just finished for @ccrryymmee Custom acoustic treatment with a ceiling cloud and new wall mounted acoustic wall that we developed for this project. Production desk that forms the centerpiece of the studio 🥂 Record booth with inlays for technics and a beautiful rotary mixer from @alpharecordingsystem_official Accompanied by LED lighting in several instances, controlled by a wireless panel. @heddaudio speakers on both record booth and production desk, more on that soon 👀🫰 For custom acoustic / build solutions: get in touch either here or over on [email protected]

That completes the project we were able to work on for @ccrryymmee and @glenn.seven at @seven.berlin HQ in Berlin. 6 days of on-site installation and several weeks of planning, design and construction 🏗️ The task at hand was to turn an existing bedroom into a fully fledged studio with all that we could imagine. This meant redesigning the room, designing the acoustics, building a custom wooden production table, DJ booth and speaker stands among other things. Thank you for the trust to convert this room into what it is now. We extremely pleased with the outcome and are already working on the next ideas 🥂
