Music video for Sunrise Over Old Earth - from the album 'Awake In Deep Time', out now on Castles In Space subscription library. (Link in my profile)
Cyanotype animation by @margebradshawphoto , made from over 1000 frames printed by hand. Footage shot at Rivington Pike near Horwich.
Sight and Sound 5 was a big one! Excellent crowd and a great setting, playing alongside some of my favourite artists.
Also loved giving the music video for Sunrise Over Old Earth by @margebradshawphoto its first airing (see slide 2).
Thanks to everyone who came along and helped to make this growing event happen.
Can't believe it's already time to update the list!
I've got some excellent gigs lined up, alongside genuinely some of my favourite artists and friends from the NW electronic scene.
This is everything I've got left in 2026 for now, but feel free to ruin this post by booking me for something else!
In other news, I got my first ever bass guitar! A Sire P5.
I've been learning for my other band (Coda Ray), and I really enjoy it. They're like Duplo guitars. Bigger so it's easier.
Most of my music uses bass guitar synth sounds already, so if you're lucky you might see me slapping this thing on a stage near you sometime soon...
2026 Lancashire Audience Choice -
If you follow LA1Shorts, and you've seen our screenings before, you'll know we do our best to give opportunities to new, young, and first time filmmakers. Our Lancashire Audience Choice category is always popular, and decisions on selection always tough. This year our selection panel wanted to give opportunities to these three filmmakers/groups...
3) Marge Bradshaw - "Sunrise Over Old Earth". Marge is a photographic artist and socially engaged practitioner interested in people, place, and heritage, and she is committed to sustainable practice. She is typically inspired by the Lancashire coastal and rural landscape, and this, also her first film, is a cyanotype animation of Rivington, Lancashire. The animation is made from over 1000 frames printed by hand. Soundtrack by Pyramid Eyes (Joel Stanier).
Our panel were impressed by the amount of work required on this animation, and the blend of music with the images.

_______________
An evening of live music celebrating Lancashire's world class music scene, featuring special guests British Birds, Hauspoints + Pyramid Eyes. This edition of Lancashire Sounds focuses on the music coming out of one of the county's former industrial hubs, Chorley.
British Birds:
Hatched in 2023 via tape loops and cheap nylon stringed guitars, Chorley-based British Birds soar from the depths of psych-tinged melancholy to the heights of disco-doused dystopia and back. From within the precariously soundproofed walls of their inconspicuous makeshift arthouse they meticulously craft their sound; dedicating themselves to the whole craft from recording, producing and releasing their records, to screenprinting their merch.
_____________
Hauspoints:
Exploring a distinctly northern viewpoint on modernity, Hauspoints’ songs are like a love letter to popular culture, finding beauty in the mundane minutiae and celebrating the quirkiness of human existence.
Established on a dilapidated industrial estate at the foot of an overgrown hill in darkest Lancashire, their debut album, Eel Feeling, is a beat-heavy rasp that treads an unfurrowed path aside multiple genres without straying too far into the obscure.
_____________
Pyramid Eyes:
Pyramid Eyes combines ambient textures with minimal, glitchy beats to create a dreamlike sound. Everything from cinematic soundscapes to mind-bending polyrhythms.
Influenced by experimental electronic artists like Boards of Canada and Plaid, his use of quiet / loud dynamics have also drawn comparisons to post-rock acts like Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

In one week I'm playing this really cool event! Four 15-minute sets in which the middle 5 minutes are accompanied by a spoken word artist. Props to @rickerlymusic for the great idea.
Tickets are limited in this small venue - link in my profile.
What an experience playing Hebden Bridge Trades Club last night! Almost a year to the day since my first live performance.
Absolutely loved playing alongside @moolakiiclubai , @l_afrench and @rebelskisounds , three of the nicest and most talented guys on the scene right now.
Thanks to @monochapel for making it all happen.
