Congratulations to our worker leaders from barangay San Fernando Valley and barangay South Bay for organizing a successful community film screening of the Lakambini: Gregoria De Jesus film and a Day of Action event! These neighborhood caring community events are all member-led and focused on spreading our message that despite immigration attacks, our communities are safer and stronger when we stand together. Our Day of Action reminded us that even in times when many feel isolated, afraid, and uncertain — we are stronger together. Through action, we reclaimed our stories, uplifted one another, and strengthened our sense of belonging. Sama-sama tayong lalaban at kikilos. Sama-sama nating iaangat ang bawat isa. Walang maiiwan, walang nag-iisa. ❤️✊

Did you know that in 2023, California immigrant business owners accounted for $28.4 billion of the state’s business income? Through training, technical assistance, and microgrants, the SEED Initiative has helped approximately 3,400 entrepreneurs who contribute immensely to their local communities and the state’s economy. Success stories of immigrant entrepreneurs like Digna’s, Deyci’s, and Claire’s are why we’re urging @cagovernor , @caspeakerrivas , @asmjessegabriel , @quirksilva , @moniquelimonca , @senjohnlaird , @senmelissahurtado to invest $45 million in the 2026-27 State Budget for the SEED Initiative. #ImmigrantEntrepreneurship #EconomicMobility #EconomicJustice #SEED

On May 1, Pilipino Workers Center joined May Day celebrations in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Orange County, standing alongside thousands of workers, immigrants, caregivers, youth, and community members fighting for dignity, justice, and workers’ rights. This year’s theme was clear: We Take Back the Power. We the people are rising. No work. No school. No shopping. Shut it down! From healthcare workers to domestic workers, our communities continue to organize for fair wages, immigration protections, and a future where all workers are valued. We oppose attacks on workers and immigrant communities. Mabuhay ang mga migrante! Mabuhay ang manggagawang Pilipino! ✊🇵🇭 #MayDay #WorkersRights #TakeBackThePower #PWC #Solidarity
