If you get the chance to visit New York City I recommend going up at the „Edge“ during sunset. Look as those amazing colors. Being up there early to see the transition from day to night was the best decision. They have stairs to sit on and a bar serving drinks. Fun story: a young woman started cleaning the plexiglass with her own water. Security stopped her immediately. I guess that’s a vicious cycle. Fingerprints vs. pictures 🤣🤣🤣

Next insight from the @speedpuzzle World Series. I created a box plot. The box for challenge 3 and 6 are smallest. Everyone was closer together. The biggest spread is at challenge 5. The round puzzle created a bigger challenge for puzzlers. Look at the box at challenge 6. It sits a lot higher. Confirming that is was more difficult for everyone. It is interesting to see the top puzzlers are even faster than the statistics suggest. That shows the incredible skill from our elite puzzlers.
My own times are in the end if the middle pack. An expected result with so many super fast puzzlers in the field.
Next week I will join a 24h team marathon. Great for morw statistics.

Inspired by @knights_of_the_round_puzzle I looked at my ranking of the @speedpuzzle World Series in Munich. I looked at puzzlers around my final position and how we ended up there.
First of all the graph confirms my current skill level. Stronger with gradients, weaker with details. The first two puzzles had a big influence on positioning. After that it changed only slightly. I wonder if that would have been the same if the puzzles were in reversed order.
Placing 241 at least I beat my table number of 245.
Up next will be an insight to my closest competitor. It is especially funny since we both were very close at last years 10H Solo Marathon.

Happy Star Wars Day to all of you. To celebrate I did this difficult puzzle today. Not trying to be super speedy. The obvious start is the lightsaber. The stormtroopers have a slight gradient from brighter to a bit darker on the left. Building the lines ld the helmet at the top was quick. After that it was a lot of trial an error.

First round of the German Championships with a beautiful puzzle 🧩
This time I got lucky and got one that is my kind of puzzle. A nice mix of gradients and busy sections. The green trees in the end took the longest.
The venue has a nice viewing area. My engineering mind likes the top view of the tables.
My heartrate was ok just before the start. A natural excitement. It went up to 95 during the puzzle.
When I finished the puzzle there was a little confusion. On the big screen was no time visible. That is enough content for a video 🙈
New puzzles come with puzzle dust as well. I took it for my collection back at home.

What a beautiful image 🧩 One day I will sit on that beach doing this puzzle. For an afterwork first try it was a good time me as well. The evening light makes it a bit difficult to see the color differences. I am already looking forward to doing it during daylight.
The distinct mountain quickly gives away the location: Bora Bora. Located in the South Pacific Ocean. From Germany it takes you around 30 hours to get there.

When you only have around one hour before you need to leave for the next appointment choose your puzzle wisely. Doughnut Disturb is the perfect fit. Knowing I could to it sub 50 min even creates a bit of extra time.

I would like to give you an insight into my recent restaurant visit. @asbm_ma „A SECOND by Mäz“ is a Chinese restaurant located in the center of Mannheim.
They offer a wide range of delicious dishes. Meat lovers and vegetarians have many options to choose from.
I went for the cucumber 🥒 salad, gong bao chicken and celery with tofu. As a special gift they brought matcha chocolate cookies since it is christmas time.
If you like authentic chinese food I definitely recommend checking out their restaurant.

Next challenge is to go for a one month streak with one puzzle a day. Having a fulltime sales job sometimes makes it challenging to do a puzzle while travelling.
