Hello world. My name is Rebecca.
Part of transitioning is picking a new name...and oh wow that was a toughie. From a list of 24, we tried out Rebecca and it just stuck! It fit like a glove that I’ve always worn but never noticed before.
Thank you to everyone who’s been so supportive of my transition over the last two years. I know it’s a big change, but I have been blessed with an incredibly supportive crew of friends and allies.
It’s a pretty awful time for, well, everything in the world right now. And in that authoritarian hellscape, trans people have been thrust into the spotlight. All over the world, governments are trying to legislate us out of public life. It’s hell, but it has also fueled me to live my authentic life, in spite of the hate and bans and talk of “fairness in sports”...so here’s me being authentic. I know it’s a big change, but I also know it’s something I have to do.
Oh, and feel free to call me Becca or Becs or Bex for short. 😉

With one notable exception, 2024 was a year of pretty cool things:
- Went to the Emmy’s 🏆
- Came out as trans 🏳️⚧️
- @pseudocinema presented at the ACE Awards 🎞️ (where I got to see George Lucas’ reaction to @ninawest ‘s amazing Jabba the Hutt outfit)
- Saw a table read for Bob’s Burgers, a true dream come true! 🍔
- Got realllllly into 3D Printing 🖨️
- Started yet another D&D campaign 🎲🚀
- Opened an Etsy *and* made 100+ sales 🛒
- Saw Merrily We Roll Along 🎶
- Went to PEI Canada, the greatest place on Earth 🇨🇦
- Hit a year streak on the NYT Crossword 📰
- And we *finally* went on our honeymoon: a Halloween Disney cruise!! 🚢 🎃
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t pretty scared about the year to come…but it’s nice to look back on the good things.
