Finally catching up from last week’s six events in six days for season 10 of @ceresfilmfestival . What a beautiful gathering of community, art, ideas, and, food. Thanks to all our wonderful collaborators and especially @maayancita for bringing us together and creating a space for food and film to intersect in a such a meaningful way.

Tonight at @uniondocs 🎬 An evening of films where food becomes memory, ritual, and resistance—across neighborhoods and ecosystems. Film line-up: Ice Cream Window (dir. Astrid Malter), a day in a Ridgewood pop-up where community gathers. Guguță (dir. @anitavolker_hl ), a cherry cake carrying memory across generations. Seaweed Stories (dir. @jake_sumo ), a global look at seaweed and climate resilience. Zen Brownie (dir. @alisonbartlett1 ), a bakery built on compassion, inclusion, and care. Barriga Llena, Corazón Contento (preview; dirs. Jordana Rubenstein-Edberg & Marshall Hanig), a food pantry @fenixcommunityfridge rooted in migration and mutual support.
