CLIMBING THE RANKS: Purdue Engineering's graduate program is now ranked No. 4 in the nation, behind only MIT, Stanford and UC Berkeley.
Our ascension is outlined in the @usnews list of the best graduate engineering schools, released this week.
We've also risen to the No. 2 spot among public institutions, with three of our specialties in the Top 5 and eight in the Top 10.

Where the charger 🔋 meets the road 🚛
For the first time in the U.S., a roadway wirelessly charged an electric heavy-duty truck driving at highway speeds — demonstrating a key technology that could help lower the costs of building electrified highways for all electric vehicles to use.
@purduecce , @purdue.ece , @indot_central and @cummins launched the Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer research project in 2018; the system was installed into the section of roadway in 2024 and tested in 2025.

One year ago, a group of @purdue.ece students blew our minds with their Rubik's Cube robot, which solves the puzzle faster than the blink of an eye. 🤯
"Before you even realize it's solved, we've solved it."

It is with a full heart that we can finally say we have achieved our ultimate goal, 1st Overall at Baja SAE Oregon. A testament to the beast of a car we have built, but also to our amazing members who trade sleep for Baja. Placing 1st in endurance is also a massive team milestone, we came out a couple times for minor repairs but decisive teamwork got us back out fast. Hoping to keep the train 🚂 moving at Rochester in June.

Why is Kim Underhill (BS @purduecheme ’87) a Purdue Engineering hero?
She spent 33 years at @kccorp , beginning in 1988 and steadily progressing through various leadership roles within research and engineering, supply chain and brand management.
On May 11, 2018, she was named group president of Kimberly-Clark North America, a position she held until December 2021. In this role, she was fully responsible for the division’s $8 billion consumer products portfolio, including well-known brands like @kleenex , @cottonelle and @huggies . Prior, she had served as global president since 2014, leading the $3.5 billion B2B (business-to-business) division.
In 2021, Underhill joined the Boston Consulting Group, showcasing her versatility and expertise as a senior advisor/executive coach. She also sits on the boards of Glanbia (Dublin, Ireland) and Menasha Corporation.
